Steps on the way to the statuette
April–May 2017 The entry period lasts from April until May 31st. You submit an entry by stating your contact details, the title of the entry, target group and purpose. At the same time you send us two copies and a PDF if it is a print entry or state the URL if it is a film or a website.
April–May 2017 The jury’s executive committee compiles entries received, checks compliance with the contest rules, and makes sure that each entry has been placed in an appropriate category. This is also when the first selection is made.
June 2017 The full jury gets access to the entries, including information about the target group and purpose of the entries.
June–September 2017 Individually and together the members of the jury review, rate and compare the entries. Assessments are made using criteria such as graphic design, text content, visual content, cinematography, usability and physical appearance.
August 2017 By the end of August the jury will have chosen the nominees. We communicate the list to all the nominees by e-mail and ask what information people want mentioned on the certificates. Two copies of these will later be sent to the contact person for the entry. The nominees also get access to the digital nomination badge, which may be used freely for publicity and marketing purposes.
From the end of August you can book tickets for the prize ceremony in Stockholm in October, where the winners will be made public and celebrated.
August–September 2017 The nominees will be announced in our newsletter Publishing Prize News, on our website and in press releases. By the end of September the jury will have concluded its work. (Note: the jury’s deliberations are confidential.)
October 2017 Winners of The Publishing Prize 2017 will be made public at the prize ceremony in Stockholm in October. Each winner receives the jury’s citation, a statuette and a certificate. Nominees as well as winners will get a booklet showing how the jury has ranked the entries within the various judging domains.
October 2017 The winners will be announced in international and national press releases, in Publishing Prize News and on our website. Winners may freely use the official photos taken of them by our photographer, as well as badges, in their marketing and editorial communication.
